Tony's Detailing the MBGDW Cross Brace

Tony:
"I was off today and managed to get something significant done to the surface detailing of this monstrous facility."
With two thicknesses of styrene the base cladding and the door panel, tony adds hex stock cut down as bolt heads. "To keep the detailing consistent, the two thicknesses of the plastic sheet that Larry S. provided were used to detail out the cross beam face and ends.  I had some hex rod that I cut to make bolts for the heavier gauge styrene.  Don't worry I have enough hex rod for everyone for multiple garages."
Using liquid testors cement to pit and damage the foam into deteriorating cement.
"I used Testors liquid cement very liberally to weather the foam to simulate deteriorating concrete.  I think it looks great and I can't wait to paint and weather this thing."
Primer does react with the pink foam, and it doesn't cover the pink.
"For shits and giggles I took a can of gray primer to see for myself how it would react to the foam.  I found that the primer did react to the foam where it smoothed the surface somewhat in an acceptable way, but the big problem was that the 'PINK' still showed thru."
Thin down som KILZ primer and stipple it on to preserve the concret texture while covering the pink.
"The solution to the offending 'pink tinge' would be to thin down some 'KILZ' and stipple the foam surfaces with a flat 1" or 1/2" paint brush by hand.
The key would be to 'stipple' the areas to preserve the concrete-like texture.
