Tony's Prototype MBGDW Crossbrace

March 5th, 2007

The back of the crossbrace is bare but will have the OR housing mounted to it, the front would be pretty bare without addtional foam. Tony added some more strips of Faom to beefup and change the profile of the bare crossbrace face.
Tony:
"I cut a two foot long piece of foam for the brace but it looked kind of stupid by itself."
Tony:
"I cut some smaller foam strips to slightly beef up the back portion.  I'll smooth out the ends and cap them with sheet styrene plating."
The Crossbrace With the OR Housing tacked in place.
Tony:
"I dry fit the Observation Deck to the foam brace."
Here's a a thick piece of Styrene for the roof section, it's cut long right now, so that it over hangs the face of the Garage Door. The rooff section needs to be modified to hide/house the basic lighting Joe will add later.
Tony:
"Here I temporarily cut a sheet of styrene for the roof.  It's slightly too deep as you can see it over hanging the back end."
Tony:
"Just another view.  Obviously the roof has to be thicker to accommodate the lighting that Joe is gonna put in it."
