Contest room early in the morning. We encountered a rare beast indeed, the mighty Zog Techmages in Madison
From Ter_or's Techmage Meeting notes:

I have a report from the Mad City Modelers show from a couple weeks back.  Both Neils, Chad, Joe and I attended.  We met up with Zog and his buddies from the Glue Crew and Rusty Truck Modelers as well.  Those guys brought some BEAUTIFUL rusty, beaten-up and abused truck models.  Now that's a model!  The vendor room wasn't big, but I think we all scooped up a few bargains.  The raffle was once again the highlight of this trip, and we scored some good takes.  I got this really nice Range Rover Wolf 1/35 kit from Accurate Armor - an $80 value as my biggest take, but the new Ju-88 tank-killer isn't far behind.

Sparky got the same Chinese mobile missile rack Jon had just brought to the last Techamge meeting, nice gribblies.  And Neil scooped two boxs marked WWII Allied tanks or something and WWII airplanes, which turned out to be highly detailed mini tanks and airplanes, parts are on sprus! they're tiny

But what you really want to know is the results, right?  Neil P. and I both entered kits.  Neil took six awards including a second in Science Fiction for an X-wing, a second in Armored Cars, an award in dioramas, tanks and figures (I think).  Clyde "Zog" Jones took a third in figures for an armored and blinky explorer.  I took two awards, a third for the 1/35 AB-41 Autoblinda I just finished (my first ever armor entry) and a third for the mini Battlestar Galactica.  First in Science Fiction was again deservedly awarded to Mike Gozdin for an impressive observation post scratchbuild.  His freighter last year won first, and was equally impressive.

Zog's blinky figure was the Chicago PD Power Armor suit a kit of the anime Dorvak PA-58N Halk Sovat, with flashing red and blue police bulbs added.
