"Sorry I haven't been around lately but I've been kind of busy with other things other than the mech bay project."
"But this is the progress so far with the garage bay pieces. Today I've finally got time to myself and started cutting 'plating' strips from that huge sheet of styrene that Larry got. The whole 'concrete' face won't be covered completely with styrene. Just a few random sections. I still want concrete layers to be shown under the 'plating'."
"I even put my scroll saw and band saw to good use and cut out some small sections from the 1" foam sheet. I found that those sanding sticks work really good at smoothing the rough surfaces of the foam where I cut it."
"Here for the fun of it I stuck that tank door into the larger hole I cut out to see what it looks like."
