Mech Bay Project Concept Sketches Part 2

December 6th, 2006

First Sketches from Tony after his Recruitment conversation with Larry S.

Mech Bay version 1, 'center station where all the mechs are gathered around'. Tony:
"The first idea was a center station where all the mechs are gathered around it.  Like a pie shape.  I didn't do too much with this except that the center area contained tools, parts and equipment to repair the mechs.  The area would be teeming with repair workers."
Mech Bay version 2, 'an idea I had about the moving crane. . .side of the mountain'. Tony:
"The second pic is an idea I had about the moving crane.  The back area would be the garage door exiting the side of the mountain.  The forward area is the turntable.  The supports would be holding the movable crane/robo arms.
The idea was to have each mech have a base like this and have them placed side by side.
"
Mech Bay version 3, 'a turntable idea. I'm not happy with'. Tony:
"This is a turntable idea.  I'm not happy with it but you kind of get the picture.  The above right sketch would be the support structure for the moving crane arm."
'Another take of the front part of the turntable.' Tony:
"Another take of the front part of the turntable.  You see worktables and computers and shelving.  That bar structure on the bottom would be the crossmember support of the crane."
'This next pic are just connector ideas. . .' Tony:
"This next pic are just connector ideas, side views odd ideas."
'the crane structure and how it would attach . . .' Tony:
"This last pic is an idea for the crane structure and how it would attach to the back wall supports on either side of the garage door."
