I Like To Cast [in resin]
November 3rd, 2004
Some Things I have been casting in resin [to mediate issues with gluing & painting]
Many of the things I have been playing at casting.
Potential end caps or sci-fi city buildings.
The Cap on the left has foil flake laced on the out side, the middle one, machine metal, both have foil flake on the inside (right most) for LED light reflection.
A turquoise end cap, made from blue with some yellow dye.
Deflectors and castings of Tony's docking ports. Station Ships and Gribbles from the TOS PL Group Project.
Foil flake Docking port ring, and titanium colored D.P. hatch castings.
A spiky piece from a pen, originally clear, if cast in clear with the spines painted dark might look more like a spinner add some LEDs. . . .
2
habitat mushrooms/domes
seen on the toilet flanges of the space station, one with titanium style finish, another with machine metal.
2 large deflector dishes, one in copper, one with titanium colored back.
TNG/Enterprise style deflector dish left in titanium, right in copper.
