| What appears to have happened was a combination of two things: The original chamber had three metal shelves, which I removed to allow the molds to stand up. Also the chamber's gasket was old so I poured a new one allowing the chamber to reach a deeper vacuum. Age and weakness in the chamber's old joints and the removal of the metal support shelves allowed it to just go phooop! I was not wearing safety goggles, I now do. Luckily I was totally unharmed! | |
